DATA
RESOURCES AT THE CSCA FOR GEOVISUALIZATION
This
data provides the vehicle in which to undertake visualization research,
and the opportunity to develop methodologies with real-world data for
broader business application. Data sources in GIS-format housed at the
CSCA include:

Retail Planning
- Location of stores, size of stores (gross and selling square footage),
location change (e.g. extensions, refascias, relocations).
- Commercial
Structure
- Spatial-temporal databases of the changes in the commercial structure
over time, including location of retail strips, shopping malls and
power centers with commercial activities grouped according to the
Canadian Standard Industrial Classification (SIC).

- Basic demographic variables and geodemographic data.

Imagery / Aerial Photography
- Satellite and aerial photograph digital

background context mapping purposes and data quality enhancement.
